PARIS, February 5:

It is inconceivable how long the officer in the King's regiment affirmed, that in two months, M. Mirabeau would not be in existence.

The projected journey of the King's aunts, and the rumoured project to bear away their Majesties from the Thuilleries, cause here the most anxious alarm.

Their Royal Highnesses Mesdames Victoire and Adelaide, had applied for Passports, but finding the extent of the implication, they with much prudence changed their determination.

All these movements, reported to the vigilant club of Jacobins, caused the liveliest apprehensions.

They sent the commissioners to inspect the royal stables: and to confirm, rather than subdue their suspicions, they found, instead of the reported number of 100 horses, no fewer than 648. Roused and irritated past all temperate exertion, to prevent such a calamity as the Royal Flight, they have sworn never to leave the stables night or day, lest that should happen, which they firmly believe is meditated, and will be attempted.

Authority that may be relied upon affirms, that no courier of late has passed through Strasbourg to Germany, without bearing to the amount of 300,000 livres. These remittances are presumed to be the effects of the two august ladies above-mentioned.

The manifesto of the empire is expected in a fortnight; and this, it is said, will be followed by an army. Should this be the case, the old partisan General Luckner, will command the forces upon the frontiers, destined to repel invasion, and secure the establishment of French Freedom.
