Sever Nelson returned home Thursday from the Clearwater hospital. He had taken treatments the last week. Miss Clara Hayden left for her home in Duluth Tuesday after spending a week with relatives here. She is a granddaughter of B. T. Johnson. Mrs. Signa Vannett returned to her home in Rice Saturday after a few days' visit with Mrs. Clarence Knutson and family. Norman Nelson of Leeds, N. D., who is visiting at Bagley, spent the last week with his cousin Perry Nelson and family. Mr. and Mrs. John Peterka of Fosston are visiting at the home of their son Frank Peterka this week. Mrs. C. Knutson accompanied Mrs. D. Remick to Bemidji Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Will Hopka and Mr. and Mrs. John Delaine of St. Cloud, Mrs. Clarence Marvin of Marshfield, Wisc. and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hopka and three children of Pine Center were Sunday visitors at the Oscar Larson home. Henry Tidhome is staying at the Perry Nelson place since John Peterka quit farming. Gordie Ferrie bought the Phil LaFontaine farm last week, and Alfred Erdelt of Forbes, S. D. bought the Chris Johnson farm this week. T. Thompson of Lanesboro spent Sunday with Sever, Perry and Ben Nelson. They were boyhood chums, and Mr. Thompson was working in this part of the state. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Peterka and Mr. and Mrs. John Peterka left Monday for Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where the latter will make their home. Elizabeth Bonik is taking care of the children here. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Larson and sons spent the last week at Minneapolis and Sauk Center. Miss Magnold Tuande is taking care of the housework during their absence. A large crowd attended the kitchen shower at the Brusewitz home Sunday in honor of Elzada Brusewitz and Joe Bricnac who were married Tuesday, Sept. 11. They will make their home on the bridegroom's farm in Falk as soon as the house is finished. Mavis Nelson spent two days last week with her friend Gloria Ferrie. Oliver Risen and sons and his sister Lena Risen of Fargo, N. D. visited at the C. Knutson, Ole Risen and Leo Bonik homes last week end. Mr. and Mrs. Perry Nelson and sons and Mrs. Russell Anderson and Henry Tidhome were Bemidji visitors Saturday. Marjorie Nelson is staying with her uncle and aunt Mr. and Mrs. Russell Anderson at Bagley while attending high school there. Miss Blanche Johnson is staying with Eva Dahl and attending high school at Bagley. Winston Nelson is staying with his grandmother Mrs. P. B. Nelson and going to school at Bagley this year. Mrs. Carl Lundell stayed at her parental home a few days last week during threshing as Mrs. Johnson has been on the sick list. Magnus Brattland went to Fosston Tuesday on business. Mrs. Charles Hill, Mrs. Ralph Peterson and Neil Stave drove to Fargo, N. D. and visited Darrel Barstow who is at the veterans hospital there. Blanche Spencer spent the last week at the Emil Brusewitz home.
