Atlanta, Ga., Oct. 11. Expert fire fighters from the United States and Canada were gathered here today for the opening session of the 59th annual convention of fire engineers.
Discussion of the latest methods of preventing fires and extinguishing them were set for the afternoon session after welcoming addresses and organization during the morning.
Mayor Key of Atlanta and Sheriff Brockwell of Raleigh had welcomed the delegates to the city and state.
Chief Healy of Denver is slated to be succeeded by Frank E. Reynolds of Augusta, Ga., first vice-president delegate.
