Full Text

A special committee of the Louisville Board of Trade, appointed to promote the proposed change of the gauge of the Louisville, Cincinnati and Lexington Railroad to four feet eight and one-half inches, reported on Tuesday that all the parties interested—the Louisville city Council and the railroad companies—were favorable to the change, and that it would, without doubt, be effected. The principal opposition comes from the Lexington stockholders, and that will probably be overcome at an early day.
