GIVE CONCERT
AND DANCE
The concert and dance of the combined branches of the Socialist Party of Cranston on Saturday night, Jan. 11, was well attended. Fenner Ave. school hall was comfortably filled with party members and their friends who danced to the merry strains of Shultze Junior Orchestra, (five pieces) until midnight. An intermission was had during which a concert was enjoyed, consisting of vocal solo, Dr. Albert I. DeKert, mayoralty candidate; song, Mr. J. Wood; recitation, Otto Kochan.
A sofa pillow with the Socialist emblem was won by Comrade Mrs. Beske.
Financially and socially the affair was voted an encouraging success for the first managed by the Socialists of Cranston. The committee in charge consisted of Comrades M. Beske, M. Wendel, Mitschke, Dr. A. I. DeKort and F. Smith.
