LOCAL AND COMMERCIAL
WEDNESDAY MORNING, FEB. 18, 1863.

The Cumberland is still rising, with at least fifteen feet water on the Shoals. The weather continues cloudy, with very flattering prospects of still more rain. Our streets are now the delight of all appreciative puddle ducks.

Our politest bow is made to L. Brock & Co., 72 east side of the Public Square, for "bottled favors." Give them a call.

Brown & Co., College street, will accept our thanks for late papers. Everything in the way of Stationery and Newspapers will be found in great abundance at their establishment.

Do you love good buckwheat cakes? If you do, don't fail to call on our friend WM. Lyon, No. 41 South Market street. He presented us with a sample of buckwheat, which we pronounce unequalled. Thank you, Mr. Lyon.
