ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION.

Agreeable to arrangement the inhabitants of the Village of Milford and its vicinity repaired to the Hotel of Mr. D. Godwin and partook of a plentiful and excellent repast prepared by him. An organization of the Company took place when Col Joseph Haslet was appointed President and Col. Thomas Peterkin, Vice President for the day. The cloth being removed the following Toasts were drank accompanied with salutes and Music.

1--The day we celebrate, its anniversary will be hailed till time shall be no more.
Yankee Doodle 9 cheers.

2--Our Country, a polar star for the guidance of the World to Freedom.
Hail Columbia 6 cheers.

3--General George Washington, the father of his country; gone now to reap a rich harvest of reward--Americans reverence him.
Drank standing, Dead March.

4--The patriots of '76, may the tear of sympathy never be wanting to bedew their graves.
Drank standing, Funeral Dirge.

5--The President of the United States, merit and talents his best biography.
President's March 3 cheers.

6--The State of Delaware, small in territory but mighty in the worth of her sons.
Hail to the Heroes 4 cheers.

Jacob Jones--their Country's pride and glory,

8--The memory of our gallant townsman Col. James Gibson the soldier and the gentleman.
Drank standing Dirge.

9--Internal improvement, the certain road to wealth and prosperity,--may no sordid views or mistaken policy avert its progress.

10--Education, the creator of beauty and order, from the chaos of barbarism and ignorance.
"Tis education forms the common mind,
Just as the twig is bent the tree's inclined."

11--Greece, the ancient cradle of arts and sciences, may every avenue of attack be a pass of Thermopylae to her invaders.

By the President of the day--The memory of Doct. James Tilton, a patriot of '76, who is now gone to rest.

By the Vice President, Col. Thomas Peterkin--Our President, Col Joseph Haslet, the worthy son of a worthy sire: may the father live in the memory of a grateful people, and their testimonials be deposited at the feet of his son.

By Lieutenant John Revill--Our next executive. may he be such as generously and gloriously sustained the character of the State during the late war.

By William C. Williams--The memory of Washington, the glory of his Country, the admiration of the world.

By Edward S. Potter--May our happiness be continued and our joys be lasting, and perpetual disappointment to the enemies of America.

By John P George--The genius of Columbia may she never fly from our shores weeping o'er the degeneracy of her sons.

By Doct Lofland--Col. John Haslet who fell at the memorable battle of Princeton, his fame, his glorious actions are engraved upon the tables of eternal remembrance, and shall last when marble monuments crumble to the dust.

By John Brinckloe--Union; The Political bark of our safety; may she ever avoid the Scylla and Charybdis of faction.

By William E. Jester--The memory of Baron de Kalb, a distinguished volunteer foreigner.
