Emerson Bassett To Help
Start Pakistan Airline

George Emerson Bassett, a former Alaskan and a veteran official of Pan American World Airways, has been assigned to Pan Am's "technical assistance mission" for Pakistan International Airlines.

Bassett will work with Captain Henry C. Kristofferson, a veteran Pan Am pilot who has been named manager of the program to help Pakistan develop its own air transport system. The program is guided directly by the U.S. Foreign Operations Administration.

Bassett has been associated for many years with the development of PAA's operations to and within Alaska.

In recent years he has been regional operations superintendent, based in Seattle. He will be operations manager for the assistance mission to Pakistan.
