Full Text

From Leghorn, it's generally believed there that Lord Theodore is arrived in the Island of Corsica. Some are so particular, as even to say, that he was received with great Demonstrations of Joy by the Nobility and People. It's certain, that the Frigates which transported this Lord, were seen off this Port, and that they had on board several Pieces of Cannon, and a great Quantity of Warlike Stores. It's said that the Republic of Genoa has formed a Scheme for an Accommodation with the Malecontents of the Island of Corsica, and that it is sent into France, for the Approbation of his most Christian Majesty; in which Scheme, not only a general Amnesty is proposed to be granted, but also great Favour shown to them. But it's uncertain, whether these latter are acquainted with the Project, and if they be, whether they will acquiesce in it.
