Full Text

A private Letter from Stockholm relates, That the Five Senators lately dismissed from their Employments, are sufficiently justified, in the Opinion of impartial Men, from the Accusation raised against them by their Enemies, of having suffered themselves to be corrupted by Russian Gold: But, as at this Juncture the French Faction has entirely the Superiority in Sweden, so it was made a Crime in them to have favoured the Renewal of the Alliance with Russia; to have long prevented the Conclusion of That which was negotiating with France, and in short, for having been closely attached to the King.

The same Letter from Stockholm adds, That the States of the Kingdom have resolved to prohibit for the future the Entry therein of Tobacco coming from Holland.
