Election Ballots to be Delivered on Time.-J. J. McAlester Guarantees Printing Bill.

Shawnee, Okla., August 31.-The Shawnee Herald is laughing up its sleeve over the ease with which it captured the $12,450 contract for printing the ballots for the approaching state election. Printing concerns generally throughout the new state were leery of submitting bids as there were no funds on hand with which to pay the printer, who would have to depend upon the action of future legislators.

The Herald announces that the ballots will be delivered at Guthrie on time, and that Col. J. J. McAlester, one of three Democratic candidates for corporation commissioner, has guaranteed the payment of the bill and will trust to congress or the legislature to get his money back.
