The above notes were received last week too late for the paper. We regret very much to have missed getting the notes in. They arrived on Wednesday after the paper was mailed. The service Sunday was well attended and everything points toward a good year at this church.

An event of no little interest socially, was the party given by the pupils of high school in connection with the "Country Gentlemen" contest that was put on here recently. This affair was given at the school house where it was well attended by the pupils as well as by many visitors.

The various games played throughout the evening, which were thoroughly enjoyed by all attending, were directed by Misses Bertie Miller and Beatrice Rivers of the high school faculty. Fruit was served during intervals between games.
