MANSON TO REBUILD.
School Room Destroyed Will Be Replaced-Temporary Rooms Found.
Special to Times-Republican.
Manson, Sept. 4.-The Manson schools will begin their fall term next Monday. Rooms have been secured in various parts of the city, in which the different departments will convene. Plans are nearly completed for the rebuilding of the structure burned three weeks ago. The debris is being rapidly removed and everything will be ready for the masons and carpenters as soon as the brick, stone and sand are on the ground. There will be entirely new sanitary conditions, and many other improvements over the old building. It is expected that the building will be completed by Jan. 1, 1907.
The board of trustees desire great credit for the superior arrangements for the schools and the alacrity with which they have extended in so short a time. The schools will begin their work next Monday morning with the following corps of teachers for the ensuing year: G. W. Young, superintendent: Flora A. Allison, principal high school; Lee Caldwell, assistant principal; Mrs. Mollie Jones, eighth grade: Miss Madge O'Keefe, sixth and seventh grades; Miss Edith Ebersole, fifth grade; Miss Mary Keller, fourth grade; Miss Nora Ebersole, third grade; Miss Capitola Kline, second grade; Miss Eva Elliott, first grade. Professor Young and F. M. Coon, one of the trustees, spent last week in Chicago purchasing apparatus and furnishings for the new school building. The M. E., Congregational, Swedish Lutheran churches and the G. A. R. corps and Mr. E. A. Richards voluntarily offered their buildings free of charge until the schools could go into their own new school house. The insurance of $10,000 was promptly paid by the several companies in which the building was insured. Manson has the reputation of not only having one of the best school houses in the state for the size of the place, but one of the best schools, for which our people have always taken great pride.
