The Chattanooga Gazette, giving an account of the military stores captured in Macon, Georgia, says there were cannon, chemicals, machinery, etc., "fresh from John Bull's dominions." The Macon Telegraph, alluding to the statement, makes the following revelations:

"The new machinery mentioned as among the captured stores, was manufactured in England and Massachusetts. The English make had no manufacturer's mark, and the maker's name had been obliterated from that manufactured in Massachusetts. Anomalous as it may appear, "Union Works" could be deciphered on the New England machinery!"

Certainly! The rebellion has been a perfect godsend to many "loyal" men in New England, who have grown fat by feeding on both ends of it!
