HERE'S MORE ABOUT MEMBERS OF CONGRESS STARTS ON PAGE ONE

Idaho: James M. Meade, D., New York, and Charles Tobey, R., New Hampshire.

Rounding out the list of new members in the senate are John A. Danaher, R., Conn.; Rufus Holman, R., Ore.; Chandler Gurney, R., S. D.; Tom Stewart, D., Tenn., Alexander Wiley, R., Wis., and Clyde M. Reed, R., Kansas.

Reed predicted he will be the most disliked member of the senate at the conclusion of the 76th congress because "I'm going to vote my own convictions, regardless of party lines."

New names in the house included such tongue twisters for the clerks to call out as Rudolph Tenerowicz, D., Mich., B. J. Monkiewicz, R., Conn.; A. F. Maciejewski, D., Ill., and J. Thorkelson, D., Mont.

Two Women Defeated

Only woman among the 130 new legislators is Rep. Jessie Sumner, R., Ill., who defeated James A. Meeks, D. Missing from the house were Reps. Virginia Jenckes, D., Ind., and Nan Honeyman, D., Ore., both were defeated in the fall elections.

Sen. Hattie Caraway, D., Ark., retained her post as the only full term woman senator.

Two men who had prominent roles in the house for many years were among those missing this session. They were Bert Snell of New York, long the Republican leader, who decided not to seek re-election, and John O'Connor of New York, chairman of the rules committee, who was defeated by the New Deal for renomination and re-election.
