WILMINGTON, May 8.

Extract of a letter from an officer on board the revenue cutter Gen. Green, to the Editor of the Watchman, dated off Christiana, May 6th.

"Boarded brig America, 8 days from Savanna, Capt. Rea, who informed me that he was boarded by the Halifax sloop of war, Capt. Frazier, who informed him that he was in search of a French privateer schooner, fitted out from Charleston, (S. C.) and that he had orders from the commander on the Halifax station to hang every man on board (if he could fall in with her) to the yard arm; the said schooner was manned by English and Irishmen-- Capt. Rea was boarded by said sloop of war within 32 leagues E. N. E. from Tybee light-house, and treated very politely."
