A BRIDE OF DEATH

A Fit of Desperation Drives a Young Lady to Suicide.

Chicago, July 21.—The Inter-Ocean's Decatur, Illinois, special says: Mrs. Rhinehart and her daughter, Miss Honiker, were drowned in the Sangamon river to-day. The young lady was to have been married in the Catholic Church to-day but her affianced failed to appear, and in a fit of desperation she started for the river, followed by her mother. She plunged in, and as Mrs. Rhinehart was attempting to save her life, both were drowned. Others of the bridal party narrowly escaped the same fate. The coroner's jury gave a verdict of accidental drowning.
