Buenos Ayres.—Owing to the angry state of public feeling at Buenos Ayres, growing out of the Falkland Island business, our Charge de Affaires, Mr. Baylies, and Mr. Slacum, our Consul, left that place, and arrived at Rio, from whence they embarked for the U. S. in the ship Jane, which sailed five days previous to the Mentor, for Baltimore. It was reported that American merchants at B. A. were shipping their property from thence, being apprehensive of a declaration of war against the United States.

The U. S. ship Warren was at Rio when the Mentor left.
