Wilson, N. C., Feb. 5.-Two young white boys, members of well known Wilson county families, are under bond for appearance at the next term of the Superior court to answer the charge of killing a playmate in Elm City last week.
The boys, Charlie Narron and Tom Weaver, were together at the time that Narron fired the shot that struck and killed John Wiggins. Immediately after the killing a coroner's jury was called and after hearing the evidence the verdict declared the killing to be accidental. Thursday other evidence was secured and after consultation with Solicitor Allsbrook, an order was issued for a re-opening of the case. Thursday afternoon the hearing was held in the graded school room at Elm City and witnesses testified that Charlie Narron was carelessly shooting around the grounds of the school house and was repeatedly warned. Finally the fatal shot was fired and struck the Wiggins boy in the forehead, killing him instantly. The Narron boy stated that he thought he was firing over the head of the boy. The two boys, Narron and Weaver, begged the other boys not to tell on them and ran home. After concluding the hearing Coroner Swindell held the boys, Narron for the shooting and Weaver as accessory before the fact. They gave bond.
