EIGHT KILLED AS TRAIN HITS AUTO

Amsterdam, May 6.—The twentieth Century, Limited, bound for Buffalo from New York on the New York Central railroad struck an automobile at a crossing east of this city tonight, killing eight according to railroad men. The locomotive was disabled. It is believed a number of persons were injured.

John M. S. Acee, of Amsterdam, clothing store proprietor, his wife, three children and a sister-in-law were among those killed. Trainmen said the Acee car stalled on the track.

Two other occupants of the automobile whose names could not be learned died in a local hospital from injuries. The locomotive did not leave the rails.
