Flies deadlier than bullets and the war upon his head. Men and women and even children, are rising up "to swat the fly."

In one small city the result of a few day's campaign was ten barrels of dead flies as a public exhibit.

Man made the fly by carelessness in the disposal of filth. The fly inhabits the dwelling places of man, finding more to encourage it than to discourage. Now man must unmake the fly by strict cleanliness of rooms and grounds and aggressive warfare against every intruder. The fly will kill the man. In many cities rewards are being offered for systematic extermination of flies. The Congress should hurry up and adjourn in order to go out and do its Christmas shopping early.
