POETRY IN RHYME BY MYRTLE M. GOODLOW

ETERNAL TRUTH
by Myrtle M. Goodlow

Christ said He is the way,
The truth and the life
And His Sacred word still stands
Though crushed to earth by man,
His Eternal Truth we See,
In fulfilled prophecy.

Christ loved mankind enough to give,
His life that all might live
And died for all alike
The black man and the white
There is no difference in His sight,
It is the heart that must be right

Man has suffered a terrible loss
By not walking the way of the cross
For a world without Christ is dead
And every hope has fled,
His way can change the wrong to right,
His truth can set men free,
Bring lasting peace and liberty.
