UPPER SANDUSKY, NOV. 10, 1848
OUR BIG ROOSTER OUT AGAIN!
THE FREEMEN HAVE ASSERTED THEIR INDEPENDENCE!
WYANDOT NOT REDEEMED!
The whigs were boasting that they would redeem Wyandot county at the Presidential election, and they made every effort to do so, but greatly have they failed. Now the noble Democracy who fought like valiant soldiers and rallied to the polls in support of their good old principles and Cass and Butler, can now exult over the glorious gain we have made under the circumstances. Old Tymochtee makes all Koondom tremble when her thunder tone comes rattling along. Crane has nobly done her duty. Little Eden has filled her bill.—The glorious township of 'Old Jackson' in her gain of 15, and Mifflin in her gain of the same number, have done all we could have expected. Salem, never forget her for she has covered herself with glory. Rejoice that you are freemen, Democrats, and men of principle who 'never surrender'.
The following are the majorities in the townships for each party:——
