Yesterday the Brig Friend's Adventure, Captain George Hardwick, in seven Weeks from Dublin, arrived at Marblehead, by whom we have a Dublin Paper of the 11th of October, from which the following FRESH ADVICE are extracted.
POLAND.
Warsaw, Sept. 14.
We have received advice, that one of the divisions of the Russian troops attacked and dispersed, between Kauen and Vilkomers, a large body of the Confederates of Lithuania, about 200 of whom were killed, and as many taken prisoners.
The province called Great Poland, is again agitated by several leagues, as well as by the excesses committed by riotous vagabonds. The troubles produce the most dreadful effects. There is no travelling with Safety, commerce is at a stand, and many families of fortune are retired into the neighbouring countries in order to enjoy that tranquility there which they cannot find in their own country.
