CHARLESTON, JULY 16.

Whilst the people of Georgia are employing most of our Ship Yards in constructing boats for navigating their rivers, our fellow citizens of Columbia are inviting us to join them for the purpose of establishing a steam boat on the Congaree. Twenty thousand dollars have been subscribed there, & more could have been obtained, but believing that 30,000 dollars could readily be obtained here, & that fifty thousand would be sufficient to expend in commencing, they have allotted that sum for this place.
