FROM THE COUNTY SEAT. -

Monday last, Court day, was wet and miserable, but there was the usual attendance. Little of interest occurred, beyond a few pleasant fisticuff encounters and one small stabbing.

A negro was sent to jail for robbing Mr. Eckloff, who, we are glad to say, is well of recent attack of pneumonia.

Dr. W. S. Grymes has decided to settle in the village, not at Madison Run, and it is reported that Dr. Horace Taliaferro will remove to Richmond.

Also said that Rev. H. E. Hatcher has been called to the Baptist Church in this place, and has accepted.
