Good Laborers Wages.—It is always pleasant to us to help forward any new enterprise or industry. Mr. German Smith has erected in Winchester a large sumac mill, by which a heretofore worthless shrub is made useful to the world, and available as a means of procuring good wages. There is an immense quantity of sumac in this county and we hope a large quantity may be sent to Mr. Smith. This is just the time to get it. If it is gathered too young it dries up and weighs nothing. Mr. S. offers $1.50 per hundred pounds. Money can be made at it. See his advertisement in another column. Mr. T. Griffith, Berryville, Agent.
