MAKING SEARCH FOR ABDUCTORS OF BOETTCHER

HUNT SPREADS ACROSS INTERNATIONAL LINE INTO CANADA; FOUR IN CASE ARRESTED ALREADY

DENVER, March 8.—Search for the abductors of Charles Boettcher, II, spread across the international line into Canada today.

Two of six persons against whom kidnapping charges have been filed were believed by Police Chief Albert Clark to be fleeing this country.

They are Cern Sankey, 41, named by police as the probable leader of the gang which held the wealthy broker captive for more than two weeks and then collected $60,000 ransom for his safe release, and Gordon Elkhorn, alias Gordon Best, 33.

Police said both men formerly lived in Canada and were employed by the Canadian National Railway.

Two men and two women have already been arrested in the case.
