PERSONALISMS.
Miss Fanny Barclay is expected to return from Centralia to-day.
The Misses Oxly have gone back to Centralia, their home, after a visit to their sister of several weeks.
Mr. Ark. Williams, of Missouri, was in town yesterday, coming over the Mississippi in a skiff.
Dr. W. R. Smith will be one of the Cairo visitors at New Orleans when Mardi Gras is celebrated there.
Mr. H. Thompson and family have gone to Indianapolis, Indiana to take charge of the Occidental hotel there.
Messrs. T. H. Boaz and A. D. Gaskins of Fulton, Kentucky, were in the city yesterday, stopping at the Hotel De Winter.
Messrs. J. F. Parker, H. F. Delany, Mrs. L. M. Wells and Howard Delany, of Villa Ridge, were registered at the Hotel De Winter.
Mr. M. Easterday left yesterday, or will leave to-day, for Nokomis, Vandalia, Ills., and Clinton, Iowa, on a visit to parents and friends, whom he has not seen for a long time. He will be gone about a week.
Maj. Hinkle has returned from his trip into Kentucky and Tennessee. He did not get far before he found that the roads were too bad to permit him to visit the portions of country he wished to visit, and he has abandoned the trip for the time being.
Mr. Korsmeyer and wife have left New Orleans, and are now in Carrollton, a small city about seven miles this side of New Orleans on the Mississippi river. His last letter to his children here does not contain as encouraging news of the state of his health as could be wished for.
Miss Ella Robbins went to New Orleans by the Mississippi Central railroad yesterday. She had intended to go by steamer with Mrs. H. L. and Mrs. W. P. Halliday and Mrs. W. H. Green, but she wished to get there in time to see the grand Mardi Gras turnout and hence had to go by rail.
