Bristol, Oct. 28. Last Tuesday the following Gentlemen, viz. Sir Abraham Elton, Bart. John Combes, and Stephen Cuttlerbuck, Esqrs. the two Gentlemen next in Nomination for Mayors of this City, set out for Bath, with a handsome Retinue, to request their Royal Highnesses the Prince and Princess of Wales, to honour the City of Bristol with their Royal Presence: These Gentlemen, on their Arrival, joining Company with Mr. Alderman Beacher, who was in that City to drink the Waters, waited on their Royal Highnesses, who not only received them in a most gracious Manner, but promised a Visit to this City; and his Royal Highness was pleased to signify, that he would give Notice thereof six Days before his intended Arrival.
