Ice Blockades the River.

CLEVELAND, O., Jan. 14.—For two or three days immense fields of needle ice has formed in the Cuyahoga river, completely blockading the channel leading from the lower part of the city to the lake and the docks. The ice is from 4 to 6 feet thick, and is now discharging into the lake at a rate of 100,000,000 gallons a day. Last night the ice gorge broke, and the ice is now moving slowly down the river. The docks are clear, but the channel is still filled with ice. The tugs are unable to get out, and the ore fleet is still held fast. The ice in the lake is also heavy, and navigation is practically closed. The weather is moderating, and the ice will soon go out.
