Petersburg Dam And Dillingham School Bids Opened

Bids on two Alaska Public Works projects totaling more than a half million dollars were opened here yesterday.

Low bid of $276,300 on a two-story concrete school building at Dillingham was submitted by Anchorage Builders, of Anchorage.

The 65 by 50 foot structure will have a full basement. The only other bidder was Pacific Construction Co., Vancouver, Wash., at $475,000.

The Joe Lundberg Construction Co., Seattle, was low at $216,408 on a water supply concrete dam and gravity type wood stave distributing system at Petersburg. J. B. Warrack, Seattle, bid $269,799 on the dam and buttress type wood supply lines.

The bids were taken under advisement and contracts will be awarded later.
