Gallivan Wants Pershing To Reconsider His Refusal.

Washington. -Representative Gallivan, of Massachusetts, asked Secretary Baker to cable Major-General Pershing to reconsider his objection to having newspaper correspondents accompany units of American troops that soon will be going to France. He told the Secretary that the newspaper men were not asking to go to the front or to describe battles or campaigns, but to go with their state troops so as to let the folks at home know how they are getting along.
