MILAN, Italy (AP) -- The Milan magazine Gente said Princess Soraya is trying to heal her heart in Kitzbuhel, Austria, after a broken American romance. The magazine linked the name of the former Queen of Iran with that of American TV action star Hugh O'Brian.
Gente said Soraya was forced to return to Europe from America when her father phoned her that Shah Reza Pahlevi disapproved of the romance. The Shah divorced Soraya in 1958 because she had no children. He has since remarried and has a son.
Gente said the Shah threatened reduction, or suspension, of Soraya's alimony.
