Full Text

A list of the imperial Buonaparte family has been inserted in the Imperial Almanac. This list comprehends the brother-in-law of the emperour and others connected by marriage with his family, excluding, however, both Lucien and Jerome. By the account it appears, that the empress Josephine was born June 24, 1768, and that Eugene, the Vice-roy of Italy, was born in 1782; the day is not mentioned, nor the names of his father or mother, he being considered as an adopted child of the emperor. From these dates it appears, that Josephine brought this future king into the world when she was but 14 years old. As yet the increase of the Corsican race is not very numerous. King Louis has two sons, and king Joseph two daughters, and out of these branches the Imperial throne is to be filled, and monarchs to be provided for the future happiness of Holland and Naples. Joachim, the murderer of the duke d'Enghien, and now prince, grand admiral, and grand duke of Cleves and Berg, has two sons and two daughters. His sons, like those of king Louis, all bear the name of Napoleon.
