Full Text

Mass convention of the "Young Men's Christian Associations" of Rutland County assembles today in Rutland for the purpose of devotional exercises, religious discussions and general business. The convention if rightly conducted, must be productive of good. It is a thought worthy of our serious consideration whether an organization of this kind in Middlebury would not promote harmony and cooperative sympathy among Christians of different denominations, and tend to secure a more thorough and systematic effort for the diffusion of the principles of the Christian religion and the promotion of morality in our midst. Home Evangelization is no unimportant part of our work.
