Pictures of Governor Herbert S. Hadley and Dr. William Osler, regius professor of medicine in the University of Oxford, were hung in the corridors of the library of the University of Missouri today.
Dr. Osler was for years professor of medicine in Johns Hopkins University. Last year he gave the University of Missouri a copy of Vesalius's "De Humani corporis Fabrica," a first edition, bearing the date 1543. With this work medicine is said to begin. Its author founded the science of anatomy. This book is an excellent example of early printing.
