Pay Double Rates
For Insurance

PROVIDENCE, R. I.— (SNS) — Negro members of the Jim Crow auxiliary of the Boilermaker union pay twice as much for insurance as the white members of the regular locals. It was testified here June 14 by William Buckley international vice president of the union

Buckley's testimony came at the close of a four-week hearing in Superior court before Judge Patrick P. Curran, on a suit to secure permanent injunction against auxiliary union. in this state. Negro workers at the Walsh-Kaiser shipyards here brought the suit after their ballots were thrown out in a union election last December.
