COUNTY COURT.

Petitions and Communications.-Treasurer's Quarterly Report

The following business was transacted in the County Court yesterday afternoon after the close of our report:

Petition of James McGhie et al. of Sugar House ward asking permission to cut a ditch along the county road was read and referred to Selectman Howe.

Petition of W. A. Kimball et al. for the removal of an obstruction on Third East street, between Tenth and Eleventh South streets, was referred to Selectman Howe.

Petition of Le Grand Young et al., praying that a certain street in Sandy be closed, was referred to Selectman Miller.

TREASURER'S QUARTERLY REPORT.

The county treasurer's report for the quarter ending June 30th was presented and ordered filed, as follows:

Communication of A. J. Burt on the question of salary referred to a committee for investigation.

The following liquor license bonds were approved: For W. T. Vincent and John Hardcastle of Sandy, and the Rapid Transit company at Calder's park.

The committee on the petition of Adam Spiess et al., for the improvement of the south extension of Second West street, between Eleventh and Twelfth South streets, recommended that boxes be placed at the low places along the street, so as to carry off the surface water.

The sum of $287.40 was appropriated to the postmaster for stationery. Adjourned.
