VALOIS, Que. -- Canadian National Railways is filing a $250,000 damage claim against Lakeshore Construction Co., Pointe Claire, as result of the latter firm's trailer truck derailing the eastbound Transcontinental Limited near Valois station recently.

The driver of the truck, who escaped injury in the crash, reportedly drove his truck into the path of the approaching train.

Only two persons were hospitalized by the smashup and they are reported in good condition.

Ten CNR cars and the engine were jackknifed.

CNR trains were rerouted out of Montreal over Canadian Pacific Railway tracks between Dorval and Debeaujeau for 36 hours while the right-of-way was being cleared.
