McClesky at Helm of Teacher's Craft

Meridian. Miss., May 7.-The 36th annual convention of the Mississippi Teachers' Association ended in Meridian today after a session of four days with the election of officers, committee reports, address of Dr. Payson Smith, commissioner of education of Boston. His address was one of the big features of the closing hours of the convention. Following the address of Dr. Smith, F. C. Jenkins, Kosciusko, of the election committee, announced the result of the election for association officers as follows:-

H. L. McClesky, Hattiesburg, president, receiving 426 votes; his opponent, A. L. Gainey, Senatobia, 342; W. C. Williams, Meridian, vice-president, unopposed; H. H. Coleman, Jackson, secretary-treasurer, receiving 338 votes, his opponents, J. S. Vandiver, Moorhead, receiving 317, and Miss Katherine Montgomery, Madison, 34,
