Between the hours of 12 and 1 o'clock, the volunteer corps of Cavalry, and a large number of the citizens of Clarke county assembled, and marched in a regular and orderly procession, preceded by the Colonel of the county, and a good band of music, with a flag emblematic of Liberty, to the spring of Mr. John Baker, where they partook of an elegant repast, prepared for the occasion; after which the following toasts were drank, accompanied by a discharge of musketry at each toast:

1. The day, and all who honor it.
2. George Washington—may his valuable services never be erased from the memory of his countrymen.
3. The President of the United States.
4. The Vice President.
