WASHINGTON, April 10.—Secretary of Agriculture Wilson has initiated a new system of distribution in his department. His aim is to diversify so far as possible the farm products of the country and to this end he is making a specialty of selecting new and valuable seeds from all parts of the world, and putting them in the hands of farmers likely to use them to advantage. He has begun the work with sugar beets and leguminous plants of all sorts. While sugar beets are now widely cultivated in the west the best seed at present comes from abroad. A large supply of these high grade seeds has been ordered and will be judiciously distributed.
