The State Federation convention at Stillwater adjourned sine die Wednesday afternoon. J. A. McElroy of Minneapolis was elected president against George W. Deacon and Thomas Van Leer, both of Minneapolis. Other officers are as follows: First vice president, H. W. Libby, of Winona; second, David Logerstead, of Stillwater; third, Mrs. F. W. Hynes, of Minneapolis; secretary-treasurer, W. E. McEwen; State Federation Council, S. W. Moore, A. W. Turner and E. G. Hall, of Minneapolis; Garfield Morrison, of Mankato; A. H. Garfield, T. F. Thomas and John Walsh, of St. Paul; delegate to the American Federation of Labor, ex-President William Templeman; alternate, S. J. Spencer, of Minneapolis. St. Cloud was selected on the first ballot over Winona as the place of meeting next year. William Templeman declined to be a candidate for president of the federation council again.
