Federal Authorities Are Looking Into His Case
Gregorio Jose Morato, the Portuguese who recently sued A Liberdade, the Portuguese newspaper, for libel for calling him an anarchist, may be deported as such by the Federal authorities. The United States Commissioner of Immigration is looking into his case with a view to finding out whether or not he is liable to deportation, and if it is found that he is, he will be summarily fired out of the country. The fact that Morato is not a citizen of the United States renders him liable to deportation if it is found that he is an anarchist, and the Federal authorities have no doubt but that he is.
