April 9. No measure has as yet been taken likely to alleviate the present distress of the lower ranks, in point of provisions. One part of a great design, formed by a certain patriot Nobleman at the beginning of this winter, was that of procuring Enfield Chase and Bagshot Heath to be laid out in small farms; but some impediments have lately arisen, respecting private property, which it seems are not likely to be got over during the present session of Parliament. What is become of the other parts of this so necessary a plan, time will soon show.
