ROGERS' CREW GIVEN HONORS
With appropriate ceremonies, a bronze plaque, the gift of the citizens of Ketchikan, was placed on the steamer Admiral Rogers last Friday, in appreciation of the valuable service rendered by the officers and crew during the Revilla hotel fire there last March.

The following legend is on the plaque:
"In appreciation of the valiant and efficient services rendered during the Revila Hotel fire at Ketchikan, Alaska, March 28, 1914, this tablet is gratefully dedicated by the citizens of Ketchikan to the steamship Admiral Rogers, Capt. F. Landstrom, master, her officers and crew."

Prevented Fire Spread
The tablet contains the names of all the officers and members of the crew of the Admiral Rogers who took part in the battle with the flames in Ketchikan last March. The Admiral Rogers was ready to leave port when the fire broke out. Her officers and crew ran lines of hose ashore and did valuable service in checking the flames which threatened to destroy the entire town.

The plaque was made by the firm of Joseph Mayer, Inc., Seattle.
