League Meeting In Black Hills Fizzles

Bismarck, N. D., July 23.-Indications are that the Nonpartisan league is not making much headway in the Black Hills. The Deadwood Daily Pioneer-Times dismisses a much-advertised Townley meeting with the following paragraph:

"Twenty-four men, one woman and a little girl was the extent of the crowd which last night crowded into the auditorium to listen to the Nonpartisan league speaker who substituted for Townley. At times it was wildly demonstrative."

Walter Thomas Mills was the substitute.
