News from India.

An arrival at Philadelphia in 129 days from Bengal, brings accounts that the British, in India, were perfectly acquainted with the situation of Buonaparte in Egypt, and of the defeat of the French Fleet.

Lord Mornington has concluded an advantageous treaty with the Nizam. The latter gave up all the Frenchmen in his service as prisoners of war, and is to take 10,000 British troops into pay. Tippoo Saib has appeared restless, but the British government was taking effectual measures to curb him. It was reported that he had been obliged to surrender Mangalore to the British as a pledge of his neutrality.
