Full Text

On Friday night last, as Peter Dutens, Esq; of Leicester Square, was returning from a ball in the Borough, he was stopped in St. George's Fields by three fellows in sailors habits, who robbed him of his watch, money, and two valuable rings; and afterwards one of the villains had the meanness to take Mr. Dutens's stone buckles out of his shoes, and even had the audaciousness to chalk No. 45 on each of his feet, which he said would be a sufficient passport in case he fell in with any more of the True Brotherhood, as he was pleased to style them. By the description, these fellows are supposed to belong to the famous gang of fresh water pirates.
